What is the main idea of anxious people?
A few of the themes in Anxious People include how difficult it is to keep on living sometimes, father/son interactions, making mistakes, second chances, grace, compassion, friendship, regrets, consumerism, competition, desperation, connection, anxiety, hope, family, doing our best, and sacrifice. Anxious People is 2020. It’s messy, convoluted, funny, heartbreaking, and full of people. When I need to stay calm, I turn to this Scripture: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Phil 4:6-7, NIV). Anxiety is an emotion characterized by feelings of tension, worried thoughts, and physical changes like increased blood pressure. People with anxiety disorders usually have recurring intrusive thoughts or concerns. They may avoid certain situations out of worry.
Why do people give us anxiety?
Very often the anxiety we feel around other people is a reflection of the way we perceive ourselves. Projection is a common defence mechanism which causes us to take aspects of ourselves (which we find uncomfortable and unsettling) and ascribe them to other people. Anxiety is an emotion characterized by feelings of tension, worried thoughts, and physical changes like increased blood pressure. People with anxiety disorders usually have recurring intrusive thoughts or concerns. They may avoid certain situations out of worry. Why is anxiety so powerful? Anxiety is there to keep us safe. It is a call to action to fight or flee so we can move through danger. It’s there to keep us out of the way of trouble so the signals it sends have to be strong. Anxious people fear adversity, uncertainty, and risk because they believe there are difficult situations they won’t be able to manage and, consequently, won’t be fine afterward. It’s not that anxious people are weak or can’t cope with life.
