What is the age rating for Archer?
You’d be forgiven for thinking that Archer is a harmless cartoon. However, it’s not for kids, featuring plenty of drinking, drugs, sexual innuendos and violence, and has been rated 17+. While considered cheesy with plenty of old popular culture references, the crudeness will put off some parents. Archer is a very well done show, and a really overall entertaining series. You should be about 13-14 before watching this though, since there is a lot of violence, some sexual situations and scenes, and definitely a lot of language. But by the age of around 14, you should be able to understand and watch the show. Because Archer is produced using limited animation, characters are rendered as digital puppets, and not hand-drawn on paper and digitally composited for traditional cel animation. Really hits you in the feels with its twisted fate, Archer and Bree have good communication despite their challenges and Archer is a complete sweetheart that is definitely worth the read. This show is not meant for young children, but it can be shown to a mature 12+ year old audience as long as there are conversations about the content they just watched.
