What does my quality world mean?
Dr Glasser describes the quality world as a personal picture album of all the people, things, ideas, and ideals that we have discovered increase the quality of our lives. While the basic human needs are the general motivation for all human behaviour, the quality world is the specific motivation. Here’s one explanation: Throughout our lives, we create “pictures” in our minds of our own personal, ideal world. These are pictures of people, things, and beliefs that we think could satisfy our basic needs. In Choice Theory, that set of pictures is called our Quality World, and it forms a core part of our lives. WHO defines Quality of Life as an individual’s perception of their position in life in the context of the culture and value systems in which they live and in relation to their goals, expectations, standards and concerns. Quality is fulfilling the customers’ purpose in a way that matters to them. Quality simply means delivering to the customer what they expected. Quality means doing it right when no-one is looking. Perceived World. Dr. Glasser explains that the only way we experience the real world is through our perceptual system. Information about the real world comes to us first through our sensory system: our eyes, ears, nose, mouth and skin.
What is the quality world vs perceived world?

A modern definition of quality derives from Juran’s fitness for intended use. This definition basically says that quality is meeting or exceeding customer expectations. Deming states that the customer’s definition of quality is the only one that matters.

One’s quality world is unique to each person and is essentially that place inside us that holds a vision (pictures) of all that is most important to us. In other words, quality means conformance with specific standards. Quality is Critical to Satisfied Customers Quality is critical to satisfying your customers and retaining their loyalty so they continue to buy from you in the future. Quality products make an important contribution to long-term revenue and profitability. They also enable you to charge and maintain higher prices. Quality is how good something is. If the quality of a product is high then that means that it is fit for its purpose. If the quality of an item is low that means that the product may break easily or not work properly. When people say something is a quality product that means that the product is of good quality. The levels of quality that the authors talk about are: Acceptable quality. Appropriate quality.
