THERE ARE FIVE TYPES OF CONFRONTATION: ACCOMODATING, AVOIDING, COLLABORATING, COMPETING, AND COMPROMISING. This is based on the Conflict Mode Instrument by Ralph Kilmann. Different approaches to conflict resolution can be beneficial for various conflict types, such as task conflict, relationship conflict, and value conflict. It occasionally seems as though certain forms of conflict are always present in the workplace.
