What Are Thin Thick Deep Questions?
Thin questions are brief, closed-ended inquiries that can be satisfactorily addressed in a single or limited number of words. Answers might be directly stated in the text or simple facts that don’t require much thought. On the other hand, thick questions demand a higher level of comprehension and encourage students to exercise critical thinking. A thin question, by definition, is one that doesn’t call for interpretation, argumentation, or a lengthy exchange of ideas.
