Is the Book of Life PG 13?
The Book of Life is rated PG by the MPAA for mild action, rude humor, some thematic elements and brief scary images. There is drug use and drinking shown in this movie as well, but it is rated PG-13 for a reason. The Virginity Hit is rated R by the MPAA for strong crude and sexual content, nudity, pervasive language and alcohol use. Parents need to know that this three-hanky World War II-era romance has pretty steamy sexual content for a PG-13-rated movie, including very passionate kissing and a fairly graphic lovemaking scene (though only shoulders are shown). The Book of Life is rated PG by the MPAA for mild action, rude humor, some thematic elements and brief scary images. It is rated R by the MPAA for violence/horror, bloody images, and for language. Violence: – Frequent non-graphic violence. – Brief, visually explicit portrayals of violence. MPAA. Rated R for strong violent content and grisly images, and language. I recommend this for 14 or 15+, depending on your maturity level. There are two sex scenes, and both are pretty strong for a Pg-13 movie. There is also some swearing, but not to much. All in all, I definitely recommend this movie if you are into romantic dramas!
