How much is publication fee for BMC Psychiatry?
Article-processing charges Open access publishing is not without costs. BMC Psychiatry therefore levies an article-processing charge of £2090.00/$2890.00/€2490.00 for each article accepted for publication, plus VAT or local taxes where applicable. In the Open Access model the authors have to pay to publish; there are some exceptions and we’ll get to that. The authors pay what is known as an APC, article processing charge, which is anywhere from typically $1000 US up to more than $10,000 US. On average, APCs are around $2,800 – $3,000 US in 2021. All articles are published under an open access license and available immediately at publication. All research articles that are accepted for publication require a payment of an article processing charge (APC) of $3000. Like the other journals in the BMC stable, BMC Medicine is an open access journal, funded by article processing fees. The journal is abstracted and indexed in CAS, BIOSIS, Embase, MEDLINE, PubMed Central, Science Citation Index Expanded and Scopus. All articles published in Resources (ISSN 2079-9276) are published in full open access. An article processing charge (APC) of 1600 CHF (Swiss Francs) applies to papers accepted after peer review.

As per our agreement with Elsevier (Scopus is an Elsevier product), signed in February 2022, all books published from January 2021 will be indexed.
