Can I do DBT at home?

Does DBT work for everyone?
DBT does not work for everyone. It doesn’t mean that the therapist can’t fail because the therapist can fail to apply DBT treatment effectively. What this means is that even if DBT is applied 100% treatment to fidelity and the therapist is doing a fantastic job, if the patient fails, it is not their fault. Not everyone is receptive to or able to complete homework on a regular basis. Stage 1 – Behavioral Stabilization Most people will begin with the behavioral stabilization stage. Other stages of DBT can happen simultaneously or may not be necessary for every client, but behavioral stabilization is typically an essential part of the DBT process.
